I am consider myself religious but being raised in the South has made me hesitant to identify with the term cause being "religious" translates too often to someone being crazy, discriminatory, & more

But I am absolutely living to get build a big house in heaven

    "Religious"
    that was a stiff word

how bout religious "muslim" ... well known for the duty of k*****g a gay as per hadiths, or a hardcore jew who "kills the homosexuals" as per leviticus or an insane christian who demands u be in hell as per pauline scriptures?

always see for a good soul & not a religious soul

aahhh... Zeriel, the peaceful Middle Eastern New Testament Christian is preaching his words of love, forgiveness, tolerance and peace again... So soothing, I can see why people follow the faith.

The bible is not opposed to the acceptance of gay Christians or the possibility of loving relationships for them. However the majority of world wide religions and most religious people are opposed, due to their false interpreting, brain washing and traditional upbringing. So seeking for religious/spiritual men on RJ is a highly controversial and courageous quest. They're out there.Best of luck OP.

    I'm a leading religious RealJock.
The more you sex with me, the younger [and cuter] I become.

    http://www.mensjournal.com/health-fitness/health/the-best-reason-to-have-sex-20121001

So don't worry about the age difference. Sex me up and I'll be as beautiful as you.

I'm not living under a Venus line at the moment--living under a Venus line does have advantages in that department. That's a reference to locational astrology and Jim Lewis who wrote about AstroCartoGraphy.

Anyway, check out my profile: you'll see how religious I am. Some of my forum posts will show my religious views.

I have a meetup.com group and last week's topic dealt with how the Temple authorities assassinated a Hellenistic Jew for

    1) reminding them (the Sanhedrin) that God didn't need their Temple and

    2) saying that he saw the Son of Man at the right hand of the Power (God)--the same straw that broke the camel's back for the high priests questioning Jesus.

The week before we were discussing how during the time of Jesus, in addition to their being Hebrew synagogues where Hebrew and Aramaic were spoken, there were Hellenistic synagogues where the Septuagint was used. The big thing here, then, is BART EHRMAN WAS WRONG ABOUT SOMETHING--or possibly wrong that the Nicodemus-Jesus conversation only works in Greek, not in Hebrew or Aramaic. He said it was unlikely that

Sorry for the interruption, there was a Saudi Arabian man riding on the engine hood of a car with his red and white head scarf on the highway. Then he climbed onto the roof of the car and started texting. The anchors said it's on youtube.

Anyway, Ehrman has been hesitant to admit that Jesus spoke Greek.

    Ha!

How, exactly, do you have disciples with Greek names?

How, exactly, to you have a Greek synagogue following Jesus' Son of Man movement?

How, exactly, do you get the kingdom of Edessa converting to Jesus' Son of Man movement and becoming followers of Jesus for many other reasons, other than Son of Man movement for a kingdom of God--rather than the kingdom of Rome?

Jesus DID set foot in the Hellenistic synagogues of Judea. The Bible speaks of him standing in a synagogue reading scripture. He likely visited both types of synagogues. Josephus there was a governor in Jesus' area (if this governor was not Jesus himself) who read and wrote Greek well enough to write history. Governor or Son of Man politician, both could have been equally educated.

Another author says Jesus' mother was the surviving daughter Antigonus, the king defeated by Herod the Great. Jesus' family may have had money to go to Egypt: Alexandria and get him a good education which included learning Greek, visiting the Library of Alexandria, hanging out with the Therepeuts and also, meeting the inventor Heron who put hydraulics in a vase to make it appear that water was turned into wine.

Sorry but I am also gay and also religious/spiritual. I have a very close relationship with God. I always have been. I did go through a phase of not believing, after all, why be a part of a group of bigots and homophobes. But I later realized my God and their god are totally different.

Reading these comments saddens me. It's a shame how anti-faithful many of you are. It's not about the bible for me, its about a connection I really can't put into words, but its the strongest and most powerful one I've ever experienced in my entire life. 22 years and counting and it's always been there.

Besides, my intent was to see if out of all these guys here, there were at least a few spiritual men. Lol That's all...

First off, I attend a private, catholic university, I've seen all the documentaries.

Secondly, I don't believe in adam and Eve, it's really Adam and Steve. :p

Lastly, I'm not "for" the bible in its entirety. That's not what I base my faith off of.

There are many people who now claim they are "spiritual" and have their own connection with "God", free from established religious teachings. I strongly believe that it doesn't make your faith any less absurd or damaging.

I'm the most spiritual person I know in my life but I don't mean that in a superior way. I have no answers but I feel a strong influence of a non-physical world.
As I wrote in another thread, someone should take the few positive homosexual references in the bible and write an illustrated book.
The bible was written by people just like you and me. It should be updated. I believe in a higher power but I don't think the God entity would make so many contradictions.

    That's 'Michael Jackson Daycare' creepy.

StephenOABC, you aren't the first to try using your spiritual appeal to get laid.
But you really do suck at it.

You shouldn't even abuse your own hand until you've gotten yourself some serious mental health assistance.
