I get what you're saying but to be a diplomat here, what most guys mean to say is that they aren't going to be be dictated by fashion trends and wear something that they feel comfortable. Some guys just don't want to stand out with there clothes,

I just have to have someone with me when I shop. Apparently, I look good in brown or blue, and yet I'm drawn to red... I guess the most important thing is to be confident when you leave the house, and so for the fashion impaired, I'd suggest focusing on fitness. Then you can pick neutral clothes and just let your body talk.

Saying that I'm not into perfume (and I'm not) doesn't mean I don't shower in the morning & before leaving for the evening.

There's a difference between not being into fashion and being into clash. I like purple but in 3rd grade my music teacher told me it clashes with my skin tone so I haven't worn any since. That's not my fashion sense, that's the psychological damage she did to me.

Whenever broaching a brooch or a harping a hem expect only agreement to achieve avant-garde.

Fashion can be fun. High fashion I appreciate - at a distance. I used to occasionally buy cool pieces when I was in NY. As I've gotten older, I am more fond of classic pieces that fit and go out of style more slowly.

You are confusing fashion with style.
Everyone has their own unique style, however fashion is the mode of the decade that keeps everyone in step. There is no uniqueness in fashion, you are give different uniforms and told that this is what everyone must wear.

    Example, fashion of the 1800's
    1800s-fashion.jpg

    victorian-clothing-1.jpg

For another, just look at the definition of fashion:
"a distinctive or peculiar and often habitual manner or way"
"a prevailing custom, usage, or style"

I think you are mixing up a few things here. Obviously everyone had their own sense of fashion (Ex. Mine is nerdy fashion)

However, I don't understand mainstream fashion (Ex, the stuff you see in magazines and stuff.)

But that's the whole point. That's like saying you don't like art because you don't like the Monet paintings you see in most museums. Then get the fuck out of those museums!!

But don't pretend that everything you're wearing isn't 100% dictated by the trends you see. You didn't just pick up that v-neck t-shirt cause it's comfy, you picked it up because it's 2013 and clothing companies have decided that's what they want your generation to buy, and it has been marketed traditionally and nontraditionally to condition you to buy it. So when someone is trying to create a new wave of fashion or bring about some change that you aren't quite comfortable with, you'll know why. You just don't like things that you aren't yet conditioned to like.

but ps i like you and think youre nice, i'm just making a point

You boys need to get quicker on the draw! I called this nights ago when McQueen/Anduru let is guard down. He's an easy one to pick out and of course,,, just can't stay away. Might as well just reinstate him as well.
Guys are coming and going at such a fast rate these days.
Kinda feels like an old episode of Dynasty!
Come on Anduru.. Give it to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why do people keep saying this shit i literally dont know who ur talking about

the stuff u see in magazines ISNT mainstream because the mainstream is that u DONT care about fashion and this is where people get confused because they think they are being unique by buying ugly clothes when in reality they are doing exactly what society tells them they should be doing
