I have been a Member here for a few years now have made a ZILLION friends both on-line and in RL. I like the Guys on here.

Sometimes We argue and disagree and throw a few verbal punches. Look at the original exchanges between Me and YourName or Scruffy.

I can safely say We got over it. We threw a punch, had a beer and got over it - that's what Guys do sometimes.

The new trend by certain Members to censor and control - now WITH THE TREAT OF LAWSUITS - Has GOT to go.

Many of You know who I am talking about.

Long standing Members are being banned due to threats of litigation by an individual who simply doesn't belong here with the state of mind "he" is currently demonstrating.

We have ALWAYS been free to speak Our minds here. We have ALL learned how to be better Men as a result of it.

We can NOT let some sawed off, dime-store, wanna-be dictator come in here and ruin a Cummunity that has worked (albeit in a VERY weird way) simply because he clearly feels powerless and ignored in RL.

We are better than that Boys.

    /rant...

I'm not sure who you are referring to ... probably because I have them on ignore and block ... but I'm with you on this!

Many times all I see on a thread is "Added by a hidden member" so I don't see threads of people I have on ignore and I don't see any of their updates ... so it they see mine and respond back with some off the wall ignorant comment, I have no idea that they did. Out of sight ... out of mind.

I ADORE You Alan ( and You KNOW that ) - but NO.

This is like a buffet with a plate of poison.

This site will lose all of it's relevence - it's very teeth - if little "men" with angry minds and bloody egos come on here and attempt to dominate and control thru threats of litigation.

If One does not like what is being said about them by MULTIPLE Members - then MAYBE "THEY" should just leave.

Also, could everyone just write a letter to the admin (through the HELP button up top) explaining that Artistoshark and Yourname should be able to come back. Seriously, it's really not making much sense on why they get banned but other nutjobs on here who rely solely on putting others down gain the most attention.

Long-standing Members are being booted because of threats to Chris.

Call Me names, call Me Faggot (it wouldn't be the first time), call Me sappy...

    But this site means something.

Chris can NOT be intimidated by RIDICULOUS threats of law suits.

ESPECIALLY by some "dude" who has been on here for like 3 minutes.

Sorry Guys - but there is NO other site like this for Us.

    It has it's flaws.

    It ain't perfect.

    We have pissing contests sometimes.

    But so the FUCK what???

We find Our Own way back to being friends.

    And it werks.

Creeps with threats of Lawyers shouldn't be allowed to wreck that.

Both of them may have been Nutbags but they DIDN'T try to shut the site down with stupid threats of lawsuits...

stuart sent Me more than My fair share of bizarro vids but BFD.

The most he did was threaten the end of the World.

    NO.

Silencing Members can NOT be allowed.

I welcome "his" input - even though I LOATHE it.

I would NEVER try to silence "him" thru threats of litigation.

Ooops, that's not what I meant - I meant that the hypothetical other guy would be better served by accepting what he sees as good and bad about his fellow posters. Rather than threatening hypothetical litigation. Just my opinion.

Truthfully, it's come to the point where I don't even want to post a thing here because you'll always get hateful stalkers that need to speak their mind. The problem with putting them on Ignore is that you still have to see quotes from them, and they tinge the thread for others...which makes it go off topic.

You KNOW I wasn't attacking You Right???

You are one of the most valued Members here.

And Understnd Law better than Most of Us...

NONE of Us should be silenced.

I think the line is drawn at making aids/hiv jokes that are meant to be cruel.

I am VERY vocal about that.

But the day-to-day back-and-forth stuff We say should NOT be censored...

If the admin people set up this site and want standards of conduct, banning people is their call. Personally, I don't want to read any more hateful messages. People have been banned for far less than I've seen here in other groups. Freedom of Speech regards governmental censorship of ideas - not personal attacks in an online group just for fun.

I agree with this. Sometimes a very interesting and good topic becomes frustrating to follow due to the "hateful stalkers" or what i like to call MENTALLY CHALLENGED INCORRIGIBLE MINDS that just want to argue for the sake of arguing to sooth their egos. Unfortunately freedom of speech infinitely allows the bad in with the good. icon_neutral.gif

    Thankfully, it doesn't.
I'm no expert so had to look it up. Freedom of Speech, among other things, does not apply to people who don't want to hear it.

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech

Seriously, if any one of us gave a party and someone was trying to ruin it by insulting prople, would you say "freedom of speech" and throw up your hands or say "get the fuck out" and throw out your guest?

All the world is now saying to stand up and protect people from bullies. Do gay people, striving to be seen as normal, want to be the only ones supporting a bully's right to harrass people for fun?

Who is being the bully is sometimes open to interpretation, particularly with posters who are crafty about it.

    Sorry.

    I meant "THREAT" of lawsuits.

    Glad you pointed THAT out.

I think you took what I wrote and ran with it.
It was a blanket statement. Internet allows millions to say counter productive negative things or "the bad" while totally throwing a topic off track with irrelevant dissecting of others comments or replies, to either proof some individual point or create an argument on another tangent, or a debate typically spawned off topic. Its what a forum is sometimes about. But it will still create a platform where people will say/post whatever they want at risk of being banned or reported. There is no qualifying background check process to become a RJ member. With that said, I reiterate, unfortunately freedom of speech does allow the bad in with the good, especially online! I think what you're trying to say is that it has consequences that we can and should respond to. As for the party comment, I'd throw the guest out quickly! As for the supporting bullies thingy... Making an observation about how people use their freedom of speech then leading onto it supporting bullies rights, seems to be a huge leap of presumption. Anyways not to go off topic, more power to mister CASH.
