    I'm sure I'm not the only one who have thought about this, and there is probably another forum post on this, but I couldn't find it. Do you guys think masturbation/ sex/ anything that involves ejaculation affects your progress at the gym? To be honest, I'm not planning on stopping if it does, but I was just curious.

    Well, obviously if you do it during your workout, the session my take a little longer, LOL.

    Apparently, a Chinese athlete, Liu Dong, (is or was the world 1,500m champion), was once dropped from the national team because she refused to give up her boyfriend; and as recently as the 1950s, coaches believed that sexual activity sapped male athletes of testosterone, thus reducing their competitive aggression.

    I would imagine modern thinking has moved on a bit...

    All I know is at the Sydney Gay Games I had a terrible time in my first race having not had sex for a while. But that night I got laid and did great in my races the next day!

    hmm, I find if I ejaculate say an hour or so before a workout, I can't go all out during my workout. It's like no matter how much I lift I don't get the endorphines rushing out to allow me to push myself even harder.icon_confused.gif

    I had a coach in HS who used to tell us not to jackoff before a game
    I don't think that makes much of a difference

    But.... part of the drive to want to workout and look your best is taken from the sexual drive
    and yeah, if you're a little horny icon_wink.gif
    you will workout just a little harder
