Aight guys so I've been feeling a little under the weather for the last couple of days. I think its something thats been gowing around for a few weeks so maybe I was just destined to come down with it but anyway... started out as a sinus thing and now its like a full blowout cold. Any quick fixes you guys know of? I work reatail so missing work is totally a drag and then dealing with customers while feeling like this sucks ass! Anywys... thanks for the advice in advance.

Get to the Doctor ASAP to ensure you don't have sinusitis as you may need antibiotics, a booster shot & possibly eye drops (eye drops to prevent/treat sinus infection bacterial drainage that may pass through tear ducts).

    Better safe than sorry, man!

I've used Zicam many times to effectively knock out a cold or reduce its symptoms. But you have to use it as soon as the symptoms appear for it to do much good.

not so quick remedy make yourself a hearty soup with lots of dark green leady vegtables for the zinc and magnesium to shorten the duration of illness.

My advice is "old school" yet seems to work for me: some dark, leafy vegetables, high Vitamin C juice (grapefruit, guava, orange, grape), and most importantly, some rest. Sometimes the body just needs to chill and recover and being lazy can be the best remedy.

Oh, another thing that helps is a good comedy, something that makes you laugh and feel great...laughter is one of the best fixes for feeling terrible. :)

Just a thought, but you might also consider other things that may be causing a problem. Some guy came into the office the other day wearing cologne and I'm very sensitive. I've had a cold for a week now. Months ago, the barber used dusting powder on me and within 20 minutes I couldn't sing to the radio and again, sick for over a week. Each time, I've had a deep cough with lower and upper respiratory problems. Thank God I haven't had to be hosptialized for such things. I wear clear gel unscented deoderant, using no dye / non scented liquid detergent and unscented dryer sheets. Just a thought. LANCE

I used to catch every single cold that passed through my office, and usually get sick again with each new strain that was introduced. Winters were miserable for me.
I started drinking two EmerGenC's a day, and that helped. I haven't had a cold for like two years now. I believe EmerGenC is the same stuff as Airborne, but I'm not totally positive.

Ginger grated over blueberries helps, but it's a horrible flavour combination.

When I get a cold or flu, I pound it with double doses of multi vitamins, lots of OJ, Advil cold and Flu, and Hot sweet tea.

I also stock up on Puffs Plus.

Always seems to work for me.

I like laying with a heating pad over my sinuses. The heat opens the blood vessels and draws the blood with the white blood cells.
