When you seek out new sites or interests on the web that are gay-appealing, do you add the search word "gay."

    Ex: wrestling gay

Give me other examples of when you use "gay" in your searches, if you do so.

Gay restaurants, gay clothes, gay homes for sale, gay home furnishings, gay football, gay places to ride a bike, gay healthcare, gay vitamins, gay videos games, gay sunscreen....... Everything must be gay, otherwise it's straight and oppressive and I refuse to entertain it!icon_mad.gif

I don't like watching movies that are incredibly heterosexualized. I will be more likely to go to events and establishments that are considered gay friendly. And I might buy products that advertise with gay couples in them

Having recently moved from a major gay mecca to a very small town, one of the first searches I did was on the towns' name + gay.
When I travel, I search the web for gay related businesses and entertainment.
I'm also a member of a couple meet-up and outdoor recreational groups that I had discovered by conducting a "kayak / canoeing / camping" + gay web search.
The majority of my interests/involvements are general, ( not specifically gay oriented ) but if I had the option of going kayaking with a lgbt group over a predominantly straight group, I'd probably go with the former...so yeah, for me it's a selling point.

I just automatically put the word in front of everything I'm searching for.

Gay surge protectors, gay farmer's markets, gay potato salad, gay airlines, gay alarm clocks, gay patio furniture, gay gas stations, gay sonic toothbrush, gay dollar stores, gay Mount Gay rum, gay hydroponics, gay recycling bin...

Here's the problem I see. It's apparent by removing the tagline of "Gay Health and Fitness" that RJ wants to expand its membership to straights. But then the site may not show up in searches for gays unless gay is kept in somewhere. I see it is still in the title bar. I've struggled with this too. I hate to call my site WrestleMen Gay and Straight Wrestling, but I know people will use the search term of Gay to find me. I've run the site for 17 years. Chris was probably in grade school when I started it. So it's something sites of the '90s learned to stick with. I'd rather just call the site WrestleMen.com Wrestling.

But, as proven here, if you continue to use the term "gay" in searches, we are forced to put it in the description, title bar, and whatever brings in new members.

The tagline is on the front page, just not in the same spot.

    Lol that's a good one.

I tried researching gay astrology and I could barely get any decent results.

But that may change if it's removed from the logo.
