Someone explain to me why gay men are usually unwilling or unable to form healthy romantic relationships?

intimacy issues is so vage, i just need to know, NOW

I seem to be the only one immune to it, that and being an asshole, which is endemic also, perhaps a correlation?

Some of us don't believe romantic relationships are healthy and prefer being trashy sluts.

I personally believe that gay men shy away from relationships because they are still uncomfortable with their sexuality. That or the trauma of accepting themselves leads them to be unable to love others.

Then again, there is the whole "slutty" thing. And it does look kinda fun. Who knows.

That's not nice, telling a gay man to get married when in just 2 short years he will experience gay death at 25.

I have a number of friends in 15 year + relationships so I don't know what the OP is talking about. I even have 2 pairs of friends in 40+ year relationships.

This reminds me of a friend of mine that will literally only go out with 10/10 on physical attractiveness scale.

He always whines and complains about how they cannot commit, don't have an interest in romance, etc.

I'll give you some advice, the same advice I gave him. Go for the most unappealing gay guy you can find.

THEN come complain to me about these intimacy issues.

There comes a time when you realize you are going to spend the rest of your life being gay, that it isn't something you just do on the weekends... just saying.

idk, but the gays do seem to be disgustingly promiscuous. Not all of course...but from what I've gotten on here, it seems like everything is about the next guy you want to fuck or get fucked by. "Platonic Friends of the same sex? FOR WHAT??"..."you want a sparring partner?...do we get to fuck after?" things like that, personally, I DO NOT understand....can we not just be friends?---unfortunately my desperation for male bonding has led me to sites like these (if anyone knows of any others I can make friends who do not require a lay for interaction please point me in the correct direction)

--then I also, do not understand how the same community of people fighting for rights and equality are some of the most discriminatory beings on the planet, after interacting with a few dudes on here, I can now care less about that issue.

Most people seem quite content with being sluts though, Hey, whatever floats your boat though right? lol...none of us are in a position to judge.
