Just watched this video again. It's so moving I can't even explain it. It would be great to see more guys with stories similar to his. He's living proof that the "it gets better" campaign only works if you make it better for yourself.

What a voice! I did not expect it from him at all, even though this show (and other shows like this one) has revealed similar talents in other unexpected individuals before.

He seems like an incredible person as well. When he said he still loved his parents, you can tell he's not lying at all for the show; not an ounce of anger or bitterness in his tone, but genuine affection and also sadness. I just hope that whatever he gains from this show will be more than a forgettable sympathy reserved for any individual disowned by family due to his/her sexual orientation. It would be horribly unjust if people don't remember him for the amazing talent he has.

    Watched it twice!
    It was beautiful.
    Great voice.
Every parent should watch this. & anyone who is ashamed of their son/daughter will be ashamed for being ashamed.
Their children has talent/not, a good parent will always love their children.

    Thanks for sharing!

Great performance and an inspiring story.

Another person who proves that life is not what happens to you, but what you make of those challenges.

I'm glad that he's blessed with a talent where his weight will not be an issue. (Though if he were still to be judged by that he's already cute so imagine how much more stunning than Clay Aiken he'd look with a makeover.) That being said, I'd imagine that given the high standards for operatic success his raw talent will still require years of expensive training.
