So recently I have taken to (re)playing FF7 on my computer and I have to say even with its 90s graphics it still owns almost all RPGs (and games) that have come out since then (including the newer FFs). The story line, the mini games, the side quests, everything is just on point in this game.

What really gets me is the music. Nobuo Uematsu is a genius when it comes to this soundtrack. Hearing it really brings nostalgia to me as it reminds me of when I was 10 kicking Sephiroth's ass icon_biggrin.gif

As of right now i'm on disc 2 and summon-hunting at the moment (I need 4 more). I have to say compared to the first time around my party is DIESEL!

Just thought I'd post this to get any thoughts/nostalgia from others.

I read recently that FFVII and FFVIII are coming to Steam soon as a bundle pack.

I may pick them up - I've been meaning to try those graphics mods that really make the games look great (well, great relative to their age)

FFVII was definitely my favourite Final Fantasy game to date. I also love listening to the soundtrack at times; right now, I'm listening to Tifa's theme (piano version from Advent Children) as I'm editing my brother's essay.

Personally, I still prefer FFVI. While FFVII has a lot of good points, its theme is significantly darker than the pre-Playstation era.

Sorry, I'm part of the pre-Playstation FF fan crowd.
