Do you think there are "gay tendencies" in tattoos? You, personally, what tattoos do you have or want to have?

There seems to be an ongoing debate about star tattoos.

    Also, what about this one?

Huh? First there are many topics have tattoos on this forum...

Second, I have on tattoo and it has nothing to do with me being gay in the slightest. I would have gotten it no matter what. It is a Phoenix and it symbolizes that I will keep coming back...since I had heart surgery when I was 22.

How silly to have a unicorn smoking a cigarette!

And yeah, I kinda like star tattoos, but they don't seem like something a straight guy wouldn't get....

(why did everyone jump on Bryan Hawn, but no one's ever jumped on this troll's ass?)

I think tattoos follow trends, gay or straight. I don't think there are any tendencies that are specifically "gay."

I've got a few tattoos already, there are two that I'm in the market for: I want to get a gypsy/pin-up tattoo, and there's a tattoo of the White Rabbit that I've designed that I'm itching to get done.

I think some tattoos look good on some people but personally, I'd never get one - they are just wayyyy too permanent.

personally, i've got 5 and i'm considering whether i want to get more. i've drawn them all myself with the exception of one that i printed and took to have the image transfered and another that was a trace over something that was already on my skin.

    i quite like tattoo's.

I don't want to talk for the guy, but it seems to me as if he OP is asking 'are there types of tattoos or common themes/images in tattoos that gay people get more than straight?'

The only way I will get any tatoos on my own body is with body paint.

I never knew it was in ... I've never seen anyone with one ... and is there actually pink ink?

Rainbows and pink triangles were everywhere in the 90s. I had a rainbow bumper sticker on my first car.

I think the flash symbols or green bay packers logos would be good
tatoos to have for gay men.

Sorry, this was my dimwitted attempt at social commentary. I was referring to the sad history of homosexuals being branded with the triangle in Nazi concentration camps. By saing these tattoos were "trending out," I meant that such homophobia was thankfully becoming a thing of the past. **removes foot from mouth**

I think the technique, craftsmanship and artistry are unique, but I don't think they work well as permanent body art.

Oh! Yeah. Point taken... I do however know some guys who are now in their 30s that got pink triangles tattooed on their wrists when they were teenagers in the 90s.... I'm glad I avoided that trend. I actually have never gotten a tattoo.

Men suspected as gay in concentration camps were given a pink triangle tattoo.
