Gordhunter & ataraxia, if you don't have anything to contribute to a forum like this, please refrain from making unhelpful remarks. People like you are just offensive to humanity as a whole and are better off shutting the fuck up and letting the world go around without the unnecessary negativity.

OP, I haven't taken the GED myself so I can't offer you any advice based on my own experiences. However, I did a quick search and found the same question being asked on Yahoo! Answer. Here is the link to the forum:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080807181359AAXi3ok

In addition, I found a useful website with lots of helpful information, including sample questions that you can use for the preparation of your forthcoming GED exams.

    http://www.ilc.org/ged/prep/science_questions.php

If you click on one of the courses listed on your left side, you will find the option for "Sample Questions" (and "Sample Text" for Language Arts) on your right side of the web page.

I hope you find these resources helpful. Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

My roommate did one a while back. He went to a school setup for those who were preparing to take the test. In several subjects he tested very well and did not go to classes. Like anything else academic, you prepare and then test your results.

Itis to your credit that you are intested in taking the G. E. D. exam. Talk to your public school system and get started. Chances are, you will do well.

lol its funny watching an idiot defend a troll.. a couple of points

    A) your an idiot if you think hes serious about his intentions or
if you think its a serious question. ( i guess your an idiot)

    B) take a look at his last posts...do any of his past threads seem serious to you?

    c) look at how he phrased his question "Or knoq someone that did one i heard its hard" does that genuinely sound like he wants to know more? no, he is looking for the first fool (i.e you) to blindly give him info without putting any work in himself (which is easily and widely available)...good job btw

so...my advice to you is to use some common sense before posting in a thread like this, esp if you don't know what the situation is. Maybe use some of those higher brain functions...called reasoning(if you have any left) to think to yourself "hey why isnt anyone answering this guy seriously" why there must be a reason....bingo

its people like you that encourage people like him to continue on these forums... good job btw

Lesson = look before you leap...

(ok maybe that's a low blow, but that's what u get when u call someone offensive to humanity)

Thanks hit the nail on the head. Well said sir

Oh oops, looks like i made a mistake by wasting time creeping on someone's profile and going through every forum he started to test the legitimacy of his questions.

This is not one of those forums that asks ridiculous questions; someone other than the OP can be genuinely interested in finding help from forums like this. Responses like yours are not only discouraging and unnecessary, but they also contribute to the strengthening stereotype that gay men are as judgemental as the religious bigots.

If you think the OP is only capable of coming up with trolling forum topics, then I should ask you: why are you still responding to his forums? If you feel so righteous to judge someone by his common sense, then you should know better than to respond to a forum that is complete bs... unless if you derive pleasure and a sense of time spent well from leaving a troll comment to a forum that you would consider to be full of shit (if that is indeed the case, then I feel horribly sorry for you)

@yiboz- thanks, i thought it brought up the relevant issues well. im glad you agree

    @stevee90
wasting time? i clicked 3 random posts he replied too, and i came to that conclusion in under 20secs, its called some simple and quick due diligence...which any person with a shred of intelligence would do before attacking another poster, let alone 2 other posters...its just common sense! (which you clearly lack)

ironic though, how by not "wasting time to check" ...you not only wasted more of your own time, but infinitely worse you wasted my time by attacking me, with your uneducated, uninformed rhetoric...which i now have to return. Not to mention creating an 'enemy'(maybe enemy is too strong a word...lets just say i dont like you)on the forum...all because you didnt want to waste 'your time'. I bet you wished you took that 20 seconds now...am i right?

This forum doesnt ask ridiculous questions? lol what about this subforum?...are you sure?( i wont even go there...)

I highly doubt anyone who wants to get info on a GED, would use the search function on this site to check. They would just create a new thread...one that is more serious...which is longer then 10 words. Or they would check other online sources...where it is widely and easily accessible. (ever hear of google?) so dont fool yourself into thinking you are working for the good of the forum...although your naiveness makes me think you actually beleive this.

My response is actually only offensive and discouraging to the OP and not people that are interested on seriously obtaining a GED...

How does my comment contribute to the strengthening stereotype that gay men are judgmental? Explain??? How are they related????? is this your first time on the internet???, gay ppl have been judgmental on forums long before my post! everyone's judgmental on forums, even on this one!(seriously... first time on the internet?)
further, was it not you that judged us in your post by calling us offensive to humanity? based on what? a .gif and a one liner?
(and no due-diligence!) so according to your argument you are strengthening this stereotype that gays are judgmental.does that make sense?icon_rolleyes.gif

There is no hidden meaning behind my prior post...i posted it because i meant it, literally, and as a bonus it may discourage him from making more troll threads. win-win, no?

So as you can see from above...you have no arguments...so give it up...You feel sorry for me? that s a riot coming from a naive tool like yourself. bottom line= you attacked us before you did any common sense due diligence (whatsoever), you should apologize.

As an educator, you are not ready for the G.E.D. test. You need to contact a local community college to find out if they offer the G.E.D. classes for you to take first.

    Not nice. No offense.
But Ohhhhhhh is that what he means?
I thought there was a drug called AGED. Ha!
My young friend is going for his GED. Do you have a question?
Education is so overrated when it comes to success. I've met three high school drop outs in my life and they were all doing quite well.
SWAG! Do you not know you can edit your posts and correct your typos? I have to do this all the time. Have more respect for yourself and the group.
Swag is not a troll. He's a kid looking for attention the wrong way - just like many of you here. You just do it with nastiness instead of naivety.

I personally believe that US Americans are not having ged's because of the education such as South Africa and the Iraq and should help us build education here and in Asian countries. For our children.
