As a number #1 fan of Aaliyah its great to hear her voice again during these times.

The much anticipated video for the collaboration between Chris Brown and the late Aaliyah has been released today. I personally like the song and the fact that Chris is keeping her legacy alive it just shows that she is being remembered and respected by some modern artists/folks in the industry.

You can view the video here

Express what you think about the video after the jump. Do you feel like it was done respectfully and will keep Aaliyah's memory and legacy alive.

Something tells me that she'd never have worked with him if she was still alive. You can tell her voice was remastered from a lower quality too. Sad. I don't think any of these re-up's of Aaliyah's old demos will really go anywhere as much as I loved her.

Her vocals are originally from this song. But as far as working with Chris we will never truly know if she would have or not.

this is just as bad as drake using aaliyah's vocals without the approval of aaliyah's people (timbo, missy, and etc). these new artists need to just leave it alone. same thing goes with tupac and biggie. no more tupac albums and no more biggie duets. let them rest in peace.

Nice! Would like it better without the drum loop though. Sounds trippier with just the synths and the vocals.

Aaliyah was pure class, a legend. Chris Brown is trash with anger problems.

No, no, and no. Let him collaborate with stupid girls who like to get beaten by "bad boys."

I think I echo this. Chris Brown makes this come off as a cheap gimmick rather than some honest and classy tribute. And I'm not even as anti-CB as most. Just doesn't feel right.
