The rivalry between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints football teams (and it's fans) has been intense for many years.

This morning an Atlanta radio host sunk to new lows of bad taste and sick ideas by broadcasting a "conversation" with the robotic voice of ex-New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason, who is suffering from ALS and can only communicate via a computer generated "voice".

I see NO humor in this performance.

IMO, The "shock jockey" should be publicly humiliated by the radio station's owner and fired immediately.

The three co-hosts of the show have been suspended indefinitely.

What my Grandmother would refer to as "tacky and common trailer trash".

This depressed me but not for the reasons you think. For years people have done the same with Stephen Hawking. Nobody complained because he's just an unsexy scientist. Why should this guy get more respect?
I'm disgusted with America's hero worship of athletes.
(Nothing against you RNCH. Yes, it was in bad taste.)

Looks like they got fired. Good.

This clip includes the offensive segment:

Before he suffered the deliberating effects of ALS, Steve Gleason was quite the easy-on-the-eyes, well (but not over done) muscled, pleasingly formed man.

His long, wavy hair and animated, boyishly-cute face made him a pre-game crowd favorite.

Watching his slow decline has been a painful process for any Saints fan and all residents of New Orleans, LA, USA.

    Yes, pre-ALS.
