i always have a protein and a carb with every meal. for my mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack i might have some grilled chicken or fish, nuts, cheese or hard-boiled egg whites and then maybe fruit, yogurt, whole wheat pasta, etc. Or i'll do a Muscle Milk bar or shake.

my mid-day meals are usually:

grilled chicken diced up and mixed into brown rice with some teryaki sauce
or
seasoned roasted potatoes or sweet potatoes with some chicken, steak or turkey

Pretty much the same things most other guys have already mentioned, but I like instant miso soup as well. Go to an Asian grocer and get the two packet kind.

I dont drink tea or coffee so this is my 'hot work drink'.
