Does this mean the hatemongers will refuse to get married to each other?

1). Could these people please give me references to this "Natural Moral Law" of which they speak, and 2). Do they have any idea how stupid they sound?

I don't fucking understand why the fuck people get so upset when that conversation comes up.
There are gays dying in the war for their fucking freedom, homosexual individuals that do this shit for their country and their people and they still don't approve of their marriage?!

    HAVE SOME FUCKING RESPECT!
(and I'm not the patriotic type either but I find their lack of judgment repulsive)

It's a little late to influence the Supreme Court, if that's their intention. The decision has already been made, just a matter of announcing it now, and making any final revisions to the precise wording of the decision before it's published.

And if their plan is to withhold services to married gays in places of public accommodation, there are already laws in many US locales that prohibit that conduct. States like Washington and Oregon are currently bringing legal charges against merchants who refused to serve married same-sex couples.

But there will probably still be holdouts. Wasn't there a Louisiana Justice of the Peace who refused to marry mixed-race couples until quite recently? Said it wasn't a problem because they could go to someone else to get married?

So be interesting to see in what manner they carry out their "threats" and how far they get with them.

Well if these right wing hatemongers intend to violate the law, than probably it is time to consider throwing them into prison after being tried in a court of law.

Pure and simple - those who break the law are arrested and put on trial.

The assumpton of the hatemongers is that the SCOTUS is going to legislate gay marriage in all 50 states, which may not be the actual outcome of the decisions.

A real cliff-hanger, and I've got my fingers crossed. I think the answer has to come next week, but sometimes the Court doesn't rule, or doesn't issue an opinion. They may simply say the lower court decisions are affirmed, without comment.

I wonder if it hurts to be that stupid? It certainly must be exhausting to be that worked up all the time.

How do they defy it? It's not like they will be the ones in charge of marriage certificates. What are they going to do, when a gay married couple walks down the street, are they going to go "NO!!!!! You are not married?"

lmfao at the list. Anytime Perkins, Dobson and Reed are involved you know it's a real winner.

They will be bitter and that's all they can be. Anything more is likely to put them in jail.

Probably they think that the Supreme Court lost respect when it issued the Brown vs School Board decision which decreed that racial segregation is illegal. Following that, a state governor, holding a baseball bat, famously stood outside of a school and forbad blacks to enter. Perhaps those opposing same-sex marriage will do something similar.

Perhaps when they learn about same-sex wedding plans, they will picket weddings. Or they could refuse to let two men rent an apartment or buy a house, or employers could refuse to permit a gay man to include his husband in his health insurance plan. There's plenty that they could do.

They would picket ours while we haven't picketed theirs? One phone call to their caterer will fix that.

As to the rest, what is that which is not done now? They already try to get our kids to commit suicide, they already stone us, they already discriminate. They already protest us. The only difference is that once we we are endowed our rights, they'll be protesting before a judge and that will have them serving by actions they already commit to reinforce our legitimacy.

Now they hurt us. They've been hurting us. Once we have rights, their very same actions will instead hurt them.
