If she outed a non-hypocritical--in the sense of a hypocrisy utilized to harm our community at his benefit as opposed to whatever effect it has on his personal life which is his own business--a non-enemy of the gay people, then she violated the gay code of conduct.
But I'd be careful about making such a judgment because Hollywood often presents itself purposely. She might have used him in her act with his permission, making it look like a spontaneous outing. She even says in the interview something like, well, he's played str8 for so long, how else would he be able to come out? That could just be her trying to justify her actions or it could hint at conspiracy. It's Hollywood, so, like if it was government, we don't know.
Even if it's a set up, then Travolta becomes accomplice to promoting the breaking of the gay code of conduct as acceptable. Were that the case, neither would admit it.
Watching youtube doesn't make a thing true. The show must go on.
