My partner and I will be in Las Vegas for a week. It's our first time experiencing sin city and I'm looking for things to do and see while we're there. What are some of the gay hotspots and best nights?

We're staying at the Vdara Hotel, right on the strip but don't mind jumping in a taxi to find events and places off the strip.

    All suggestions are appreciated!

I hate you so much right now.

I went there for boring reasons,
    1. Love people, the crowd.
    2. Got drunk, took pictures.

Stayed at the Rio and clubbed on their rooftop Club.

I hope you have a lot of funn. =]

Hoover Dam is worth the trip to go and see while you're there- it's impressive. There are morning tours that just take you to the dam(and skip all the bs like the chocolate factory etc) for about $50 or so.

Fremont Street is always fun. You can take The Deuce or cab it. http://www.vegasexperience.com/

http://qvegas.com/ has all the goings on.

    Pool parties!

    Have fun!

A number of years ago, a friend and I flew to Reno to see Hurrah's Transportation Museum before they started selling off some of the classic and antique cars (there is a difference between classic cars and antique cars, a distinction that seems to escape many people). We noticed that the airport concourses, hotel lobbies, restaurants, etc., were all mini casinos. Gambling was very different from what is shown in TV advertisements.

The people playing the slot machines looked bored out of their minds. They would mechanically insert coins and pull the handle. When they got a jackpot, they would mechanically scoop up the coins and put them into a bag, looking bored the entire time. They certainly did not look as though they were having fun.

Probably Las Vegas NV (as opposed to Las Vegas NM) isn't much different, except for size. You may be able to find interesting things in Las Vegas NV, but visiting casinos may not be one of them.

Go to Fremont Street at night. Also, check out the largest gay club in the world that just opened, Krave Massive.

Is Krave the only gay bar/club in Vegas?

No, there are Share and Gipsy. Both are off the strip. Just not sure if they're still operational.
