What kind of doctor is better to have as your regular doctor? A male doctor or a female doctor?

it all depends on who you feel most comfortable with. just because a man is a man does not mean that he knows the male body the best.
some times it helps to see a couple different docs, get a taste for how much they know and how well the present themselves and the information that is needed to be given.

There are always exceptions - but in dealing with hundreds of mostly male clients over the last several years, we (my business partner & I) are of the firm opinion that in general, female doctors are less inclined to address male hormonal issues and issues of sexual health.

Again, there are exceptions. But that's what we've observed in the main.

i have gone to my doctor for years. he and his husband were actually friends before he became my doctor. i could only see myself going to a gay male doctor. i mean going to the doctor on occassion can be embarassing enough. i dont want to have to explain 'everything' to a mid fifties straight woman!! he understands my issues and my concerns since they are something he can relate to.
