I hear this all the time from people. Guys never asking each other out because they think they are somehow above them and would never go out with them. Poppycock i say, rubbish, utter nonsense! Where did this league business get started? I cant imagine limiting myself, or not being confident (as well as realistic) in what i have to offer as a person for someone else, why do others do this so much?

You're right. I've put myself down for too long. Starting today, I'm making myself available and to start it off, I'm finally posting a picture of myself. Come and get it boys:

I think it's all an excuse not to get to know someone. Fear? Insecurity? I don't know.

no, doug... you're not old. charlitos is simply too self-absorbed to understand the notion that someone might be out of HIS league...

I'm sorry to interrupt the senior moment, but...

...doesn't the quote go "Out! Out! Damn spot!"? icon_razz.gif

As for the initial post, sure we have leagues. Bowling leagues, hockey leagues, soccer leagues. I wish I played soccer. Then I'd be in the same league as David Beckham.

But to be serious for a moment, I believe people who create 'leagues' and rating systems to stick other people in are doing so preemptively because they feel they're out of someone else's.

haha shut up Delivis! that happens when you have just 5 months to learn english to go to UofT, you know I passed my TOEFL exam with 99 when the minimum was 100 lol. In spanish the direct translation of out of my league is backwards so I was kinda confused.

Your not the only one. I started a good wholesome thread with a positive message and it turned into a confusing drama fest. Oh dear.icon_neutral.gif
