So I'm doing a "Street Line Defence" class (which involves a lot of boxing/some self defence) and this is embarrassing....

I cannot stop sweating in the class.

Put it this way: I run half marathons, I work out in the gym and for some reason every time I am in the class I am sweating like crazy. It is literally pouring out of me. It got so bad that one guy refused to do the combat with me! Which made me feel, er, great.

Ok : I have heard that sweating more in exercise means that you are generally more fit. I am really enjoying the class and its been a big thing for me to take up boxing at the age of 40, so I don't want to give it up. But if I am sweating that bad.....????

You are now engaging muscle groups in combinations and repetitions like you never have before..

..Your muscles (legs)are accustomed to running for miles..

The perfuse sweating should die down after a while..
