    Hey guys, who's your favorite hero? You can list more than one, but you can only have one as your absolute favorite. Got it?!?

    Strange thing is I was thinking of this topic this morning.

    Fictional:

    - Bugs Bunny;
    - Frodo Baggins;
    - Frank Hardy (of The Hardy Boys, he reminds me of my brother);

    Real Life:

    - Beethoven;
    - George Eliot;
    - Charles Dickens;
    - Johannes Brahms;
    - Gore Vidal;
    - Winston Churchill;
    - Martin Luther King Jr.;
    - Abraham Lincoln.

    1. Sergeant Alvin C. York

    2. Actor Jimmy Stewart

    3. General George C. Marshall

    4. The gay guy who brought me out.

    (Funny, mentioned him earlier today in another thread. My hero not because of what he did for me, but for others. Dying of AIDS when I met him, he volunteered for an AIDS agency, to bring food to shut-ins, do their errands & household chores for them, drive them to appointments, etc. Even though he could barely do those things for himself. One of the first to be put on the cocktail, he recovered, is still alive today.)

    I USED to be all about the mutants and things... but once i discovered Elektra who was just a human who worked REALLY hard to be the best of the best I was hooked!

    I can't move things via telekinesis, nor can i read minds, but I can throw a shuriken and use a set of sai!

    My fave heroine is Wonder Woman. Batman should have married her.

    This is a very challenging question.icon_surprised.gif

    I think most people are heroes in their own right. Certainly, we can think back to a time where we have had to muster up all the courage we had to, "Just Do it". Face a fear, fight for a cause, express our love.

    Geesh, if I had to pick just one. A crusty, old lady I used to work with many years ago. It is a long story posted in some coming out thread.

    Her loving admiration cracked through her normally stoic demeanor making her a hero, in more ways than one.
