Man, what a great thing it is to be able to vote - in a real election. To eject one politician or party, to hail another. It gives me a huge thrill. God, I LOVE it.

Sometimes my choice wins, sometimes not. But it's far more exciting than sports, horse racing, cat fights or reality TV. It took mankind until about 200 years ago to establish a working "people's" government, and we're still trying to get it right. But how great is it to change governments without a coup d'etat, regicide or a civil war?

Whether your pick is chosen or not, we'll elect a new President and Congress and many more from coast to coast without firing a shot, or, for the most part, anyone refusing to leave ... icon_wink.gif

    HAIL TO THE NEW CHIEF.

If any RJ members are thinking of not voting this election because they believe their vote "does not count", then maybe they should think of countries like Zimbabwe, Myanamar or the Congo. Voting in those countries could put your life in jeopardy. Sadly the number of countries that do not have fair and free votes is still very high. Not surprisingly they are often some of the poorest and most desperate countries in the world.
