Post songs that tug your heartstrings.

I'm not religious, but whenever I go to Christmas service with my family I can never finish this song without tearing up. It's always the last song in the service, thank heavens. The German version is something special since I learned to sing it before the English version. Comes from having a German grandparent. icon_smile.gif

And this one always makes my heart break. Probably the most bittersweet song ever written, and gets at the core of the human desire to love and be loved. Some of the strongest emotions in our capacity to feel are drawn from the simplest things.

The first time I heard this song, I thought it was beautiful, but it was only when I saw this music video that I burst out in tears. Now I have to duck out of the lab at work when this comes up on the radio icon_sad.gif I respect Macklemore and Ryan so very much for making this.

Marina del Rey by George Strait. It won't make me cry, but I'll hit the spot.

Unchained melody by Cindi Lauper. Reminds me of my first and only boyfriend.

Matt Alber's "The End of the World" always takes my breath away, and makes my heart ache.

Not really into country music or country singers, except for this lady. This song almost brings on the waterworks for me.

The sheer beauty of the production alone could bring me to tears, and then you add the lyrics and I'm gone. Aguilera's vocal performance on the first track is also quite poignant.
