How many of you think they're gonna let him off? You may think it's clear cut but this is Florida: the same state that let Casey Anthony off Scott free even though she was clearly guilty to some degree.

    What are your thoughts?

ihateyoutoo saidhe's getting convicted. under the law, his life is supposed to be in clear danger to use deadly force. in his case, he was looking for a problem, thought he had the right to look for one since he was "neighborhood watch" and killed an innocent kid in the process. knowing the nature of the zimmerman idiot, he probably would have chased any black person down and shot them simply because he felt like it. just like he chose to assault a woman outside a nightclub for no reason. i hope his ass gets life and i know his ass will be requesting pc too because he's a BITCH.

if he does get off, i guarantee you that he will hurt some innocent black people kill again. someone like him is a threat to public safety.

    Fixed.

i think he's a racist BUT i also think that dude is one of those guys that thinks he's god or something. that dude has NO respect for authority or the law which was why he took matters into his own hands. i just wish that george zimmerman tried to run up on someone that was armed that day, trying to pull that bullshit and ended up getting gunned down instead.

if he isn't locked up, i'm sure sooner or later, he'll end up getting killed himself.

He's big exactly unusual for people didn't here. You meet a lot of people who wanna be some kind of Bootleg Rambo.

I think Zimmerman is lucky that's he's somewhat ethnically ambiguous. Otherwise, he'd be in jail already.

Well he got assaulted first so I hope he walks free. Unfortunately he will probably get convicted. This trial has been biased from the start. WTF was that about Obama saying Trayvon is what his son would be like if he had one.

Not to mention all the media manipulation when they showed images of Trayvon that were several years old instead of recent one. Maybe to portray him as some poor innocent little boy instead of the drug-dealing thug who had been kicked out of every school he ever went to.

Honestly, I think Zimmerman is going to get the book thrown at him. The state wants to make an example and this case is too high profile to drop the ball.

They have proof and witness testimony that Zimmerman attacked the boy first because it could be heard over the phone that Trayvon was screaming at Zimmerman to leave him alone. Also my big thing is if dude never would of left his car nothing would have happened.

Fact of the matter is Zimmerman ignored the 911 operator's instructions and pursued Martin anyways.

Also, his past history of similar confrontations really puts him in a bad light.

The prosecution is going to have a difficult time convicting Zimmerman (regardless of guilt or innocence) because of Florida's Stand Your Ground Law. The audio of the screaming is not coming into evidence. It is going to be hard to tell how the 6 woman jury will come out.

The State may want to win this one just to prove they are capable of securing a conviction in a high profile case (ex. Casey Anthony).

Meh, I think he was out looking for a fight and he found one.

OTOH, Trayvon is no angel and I don't know why the black community continues to support thugs.

With that said, Zimmerman could have easily have walked away, so he deserves some sort of jail time...

I agree. But his defense team has already succeeded in blocking expert audio testimony that it was Martin's voice pleading for help on the tape recording from the phone. The defense will try to confuse the jury with doubt, that maybe it was Zimmerman's voice.

Defense attorneys are very good at bamboozling juries, and then reminding the jurors that if they have any reasonable doubt, they must acquit. So I'm not at all certain how this will end.

I had some solicitors come to my door Sunday selling Kirby vaccums. A White guy showed up (21 years old, tattoos), and then he ran downstairs to grab the vac and another White guy (under 21 years old, tattoos) came up and they pretty much literally barged into my house without invite.

Anyway, they were telling me there have been numerous times where people have answered the door with a shotgun pointed in their face. They also mentioned a guy with Alzheimers forgot the guys were in his house demoing for a whole hour and walked into the livingroom with a shotgun telling them to get the hell out.

Point is, people like to pull out guns on anyone who's unfamiliar. If your fucking punk bitch ass can't handle some shit without one, and you kill someone...pay the consequences. That's the risk you take when owning a gun. Stop trying to wriggle your way out of punishment. Hell, if I had a gun and wanted to scare people, I wouldn't even need to have it loaded. I'd just hit em upside the head with it. But I wouldn't kill anyone. He's just a typical central-Floridian wanna be redneck fucker. Messing with Black folks for no reason at all. Hate that part of the state.

I agree. This isn't a case of who was the model citizen. Zimmerman was a self appointed vigilante. He wanted to be a cop. But failed at that. So this was a the next closest thing. And he took it too far.

I really don't think the how's background matters considering it seems as if Zimmerman is the one who started the fight. And no one knew the boy was a thug. Or at least Zimmerman didn't know. He saw a black boy at night on a hoodie and decided to play judge and jury.

It will be up to the jury whether he put himself in harm's way. If they find he did, he will likely be convicted. But if they find he was no longer the aggressor after the confrontation began, Stand Your Ground will kick in. I still think it will be a close call since there are no actual eye witnesses who saw the actual fight and shooting.

I just don't feel that there is enough evidence to determine what really happened that night so I think he'll be acquitted. Take all of the emotion out of the case and this is no different than the missing poster piece in the movie "Chicken Run". Some of us will never hear the truth and others of us will never believe the truth as we've heard it. The one time when we'd want big brother to have a video camera watching.... Such a sad situation.

If you look at Obama daughter and Trayveon they look similar. They could be siblings that's why obama said that
