It seems we will all be in the middle class. According to obama it started as a household income of 250,000 then 200,000 then 150,000 now 120,000. How could anyone believe anything that comes out of his mouthicon_confused.gif

I saw a T shirt vendor printing shirts in the city.."now we're all fucked in 08" pre predicted obama win. If he does win I guess the middle class should go out in the streets tip cars, set fires, and loot wal-mart's and k-marts. That would be true irony.... because you know if he loses what happens next. Think about iticon_idea.gif

    You must be fucking kidding.

The middle class has so been fucked over this last 8 years. The loss of pensions, health care, lower wages and job security are only the beginning. The meaningless deaths, of mostly lower income individuals, killed in an useless war. Where have you been.

All you middle class white republican males can think about is that you are falling behind and that someone else is the cause of it and that minorities are getting something for nothing. Get the fuck over it! Get a life.

I was reading last night about the problems in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The country might be descending into another civil war (the last one resulted in an estimated 5 million people dying).

Sometimes it is useful for people in North America to step back and realize that we have problems with a small "p". Many people in the world have PROBLEMS.

My thoughts are that ALL Americans need to try to make a commitment to come out of this election ready, willing, and able to support whoever wins. The new President deserves the chance to prove to Americans that he was worthy of being elected. We have to think positive. This country cannot remain divided. We simply MUST come together for the good of our country and present a united front to the world. "United we stand, divided we fall" has never held more true than these times. Granted, I don't want an Obama win today, but if it comes to that I will support it and move on thankful that this election is FINALLY over.

My thoughts are that this post, has to be one of the most insane written forms discourse that I have read since the meanderings of John.

Just who is going to tipping over cars, looting wal-marts and kmarts? Starting fires. Unless you had to live through a riot, like I have I was living in West Hollywood at the time. Trust me it's nothing to take lightly!

The things people write on this site, just makes me shake my head!

I guess you think that US is on the brink of what civil war or full out anarchy.

Dude relax. Whom ever wins this election you should support. God knows it's has been a unique challenge for me to support our current president.

    Koaa-

    Very well put!

You don't cite sources, but in any case, depending on where you live in the US., any of those figures might be included in middle class.

A family income of $120K in Lincoln, NE probably has similar spending/living power as $250K in New York or San Francisco and a number of other places.

but I don't get your point, Mike - without knowing your more specific beefs about BHO's proposals.

I finally agree with the man in AZ about something ... except the part about him not wanting an Obama win. But I do want the country to come together after this -- whatever the outcome.

    MikemikeMike,

Doug here. Mom was diagnosed with a heart condition last Friday - this Friday she goes for full open heart surgery at a state of the art clinic. Elapsed time - 7 days. Private room.
No HMOs. None. We're scared silly, but know she's in good hands, and the hospitals etc won't cut corners to increase profits for shareholders.
Our system is far from perfect but everyone in Canada has equal access. Your health is not dependent on the size of your wallet.

FUZZY MATH ALERT: Your profile says you're 38. Beirut was in 1983. That would make you a 13 year old Marine. I think not.

Sorry to hear about your Mom! Money and great health care go hand and hand here in the USA.
