Sweat loving str8 piggy guy or sweat loving gay piggy guy???

So after finishing on a bench or piece of equipment at the gym, I'm pretty religious about wiping it down because I sweat like a pig (do pigs actually sweat? I heard they don't but "sweat pig" sounds good to me)... Now, from time to time, a guy will come up as I'm finishing and say, "don't worry about wiping it down."

Now, in my own line of thinking (which I admit is not the only perspective), if I "dig" a guy and think he's hot, I have no problem swapping or sharing a little sweat (hey, it's hot, what can I say... I guess I'm a pig that way) BUT, if I don't think a guy's someone I'd click with or think is hot, then the last thing I wanna do is sit or work out in his sweat.... which leads me to ask...

If a guy purposely tells you don't worry about wiping your sweat off a piece of equipment and then proceeds to use it, is it more a sign that (A )he kind'a likes swapping a little sweat with another guy and may dig 'em (kind'a like me?) or is it just perhaps that he's just a guy (str8 gay or otherwise) who's a pig???

    What say the experts?

Str8 or gay, it means he is comfortable with you. If he is gay, he must be very str8 acting.

Other people's sweat, especially at the gym, doesn't bother me too much. Not sure why. Neither does blood or vomit. Or open wounds.. Etc.

Dang...I think I've done this a couple times.
didn't know it was a thing.

Now that I think about it: the guy(s) were hot.
I usual put my towel down first anyway.

Don't know...maybe offer up your water bottle, see if he drinks from it--that some true love shit there.

then i guess i'm a kosher pig. and i will leave it at that.icon_eek.gif

i have to admit, that while going through chemo, the scent of a locker room or the natural 'unmasked' scent of a guy was one of the few things that did not make me toss my lunch. i've always felt that way, hey, like i said, i'm a kosher pig at heart, but, even more so with chemo. the scent of my dog was rather soothing too. my sense of smell has forever been altered (more sensitive and very strong). so swapping sweat with another guy, well, hell, it happens when one hooks up right? so what's the difference? just my take.

I've had straight guys do this with me at the gym too, but I don't think I was actually sweating that much, so I didn't really think anything of it.

sweat isn't really smelly or nasty. The smell that we call BO is actually a product of the bacteria on our skin that digests the sweat... something like that.

Sweat just doesn't bother me, regardless of how attractive the guy is. I think people are sort of irrational about this. Saying not to bother is a way of demonstrating otherwise.

Unlike thatswimmerguy, however, I'm put off by open wounds and vomit...

Ew, just wipe your bench or machine, it's common courtesy and it's gross and inconsiderate when people don't.

icon_redface.gif No good reason, just a little failed attempt at cross-thread humor. (http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/2921347) Swapping sweat fits the str8 acting stereotype. Fear of sweat fits the fem stereotype.icon_redface.gif

Now that puts it more in perspective for me... separating the BO from the sweat may take things to a whole new level of appreciation... I've never before thought about separating the senses... hmm. ;)

And as far as vomit and other bodily fluids from other comments... we'll, I'd do more than wipe down... I think I'd have to sanitize by fire or heavy chemical.

Last point of clarity... I usually always wipe the equipment down.... unless asked by someone not to ;)

I think you're reading into it too much. He's probably just trying to rush through a workout and has been waiting for that bench to open up.
