Hey guys. I'm 5'9", 145lbs, 28 years old. I am not unhappy with my body, however, I'm trying to lose my love handles (which are quite possibly just my hip bones as there is not much fat there) and gain a little muscle. I'm not looking to pack on massive pounds and I'm not looking for body building status. I don't want to eat 8 eggs, 2 cups of oatmeal, and fruit for breakfast. However, I am interested in finding a 7 day meal plan that has clean sources of food/protein, i.e. not powders or other processed foods/supplements. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've done a ton of research, but I felt like I would like to hear real guys with real results, as well. Thanks guys.

I cut out carbs, fried foods, and processed foods and cut my body fat drastically. The one thing I continued to eat was dairy. Otherwise it was all clean eating.

Recently added small portions of pasta, rice, and quinoa.

I cut out processed and fried foods long long ago, and I only eat non-processed carbs before 6pm. However, I don't have any fat to lose haha. My body fat percentage is 10.2%, but I just hate having love handles!

Seriously, love handles? On you? Where? I don't see any. In fact, you're beautiful! You gotta have hip bones, ya know.

Here's my only worry about the Paleo life...I'm used to eating 5-6 times/day, and the Paleo meal plans are 3 meals/day..and they aren't huge meals. Does it fill you up? And is it enough for building muscle?

Everyone's body works differently. The meal plan isn't necessarily set in stone. Eat 5-6 meals a day, lift heavy, get ripped. You'll most definitely build muscle if you're getting the correct amount of protein and working hard - I'm sure :-)

Good site! On facebook, check out "Stupid Easy Paleo"

I've made the decision to go paleo about a month ago. Been on it 2 weeks officially and I'm down about 7 pounds and I can see parts of my body tightening up. I love it. At first I thought there would be no way I could do this. But I was wrong, I love it. I love all the healthy fats.

I was told it's best to eat more meals daily on the paleo, (I'm still new to this obviously so I'm still learning...) but, I eat til I'm full, and generally only 3 meals a day. I haven't had any problems with energy or feeling lethargic. In fact, I feel better than I have in a really long time! My one thing that i'm intaking that ISN'T on the lists for paleo is 1 yogurt a day!

Yeah, I freaked out when I read that I wasn't going to be able to have yogurt or this incredible vegan chickpea cookie dough that I make! Or peanut butter unless I make it myself!

Yeah, I was too at first. The thing I miss horribly already are legumes! I. LOVE. BEANS.... I made a chicken chili last night and replaced the beans with various vegetables, and it came out pretty rockin. I'd say give it a try, it can't hurt! =)

I'm not trying to lose weight. I want to build muscle, I just don't want to get super beefy. And I know it's skin but it annoys the hell out of me because I'm thin in the middle and I don't know how to make it look even haha. I feel like my body has women curves!

I am a strong believer in eating as much raw foods as possible! and like some of you here I'm still consuming non-fat dairy products, mainly non-fat plain Greek Yogurt, because of its good source of Protein! eventually I will substitute it with eating more nuts.

I also stay away from anything that contains refined sugars, foods with a huge list of ingredients, and Wheat bread; yes Wheat bread!! I used to love wheat bread until I found out for myself, that it was the main culprit as to why I was having a hard time loosing the last 10 lbs to reach my ideal weight!! ever since I stop eating wheat bread and whole wheat pasta, I have noticed that its being easier for me to get to that point towards my weight goal!!

As far as the so call love handles!? if your goal is to gain muscles, you need a little fat in your mid section to support, distribute, and balance that extra weight of solid muscles all over your body!

I don't know why the OP is so worry about having love handles, HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY???

OH AND ONE MORE THING! DON'T FORGET TO DRINK PLENTY OF PLAIN WATER! IT BEING THE SECRET IN KEEPING YOUR EXTRA FAT UNDER CONTROL!!

For the lower abs do crunches where you're on your back and raise your upper body and knees at the same time and touch your elbows to your knees. You can do both knees and arms at the same time or alternate between the left knee+right arm and right knee+left arm. I was doing 100 of the alternating variety followed with 50 of the same time variety.

I think what you're seeing as love handles are abdominal muscles that need work.

Why do people always post on here the fears of getting super "beefy" or "buff"? Have you seriously not worked out long enough to know how slowly muscle builds? It's not like in 3 months you're going to turn into some greek muscle god! It takes years and years of dedication, genetics, and diet to achieve something like that.

Also those don't look like love handles, but just your hips are wide. Broader shoulders would probably help that out, but honestly you already look fine.
