    whats your surname's origin? you don't have to say it for privacy reasons but it's interesting stories.

    Mine is old Norman french descending way back to the Norman invasions of Ireland in the 11th century I believe.

    It's of German/English origin (but suspiciously sounds like a certain Russian dictator's surname).

    My last name is Sandhu which is a surname among both Sikh and Pakistani Muslims. Sandhhus origination comes from a place called Sindh which is the region around the Indus river in North Western India. Sandhus belong to the Jatt caste which is the largest of the caste among Sikh. In the Sikh caste hierarchy Sandhus are on the top. Sandhus traditionally have been soldiers, agriculturists and land owners.
