Why are we talking crap threads tonight, when our gay asses are on the line?

The only thing we in the US should be talking tonight is this election. In addition to the President and the Congress, there are anti-gay initiatives in California & Florida. Can we for once not be obsessed with prissy gay topics?

Because at this point we've done what we could, convinced who we could, and all we can do is sit back and wait to see if our work was enough. Whatever side of each issue you're on, the work is done and all that remains is the waiting.

So, we fill the space with inanities because it's better than the uncomfortable expectant silence for another two hours until the results start to come in.

Come on man. It's a nerve wracking day waiting for the final results. We need a little entertainment and sidetracking to pass the hours by. I'm going nuts sitting here at work waiting for the results on Prop8 later on this evening.

That's a good answer. I guess I'm too obsessed with the election to want to discuss or consider anything else tonight.

OK, I understand the need for some diversion, good point. But Timberoo is still a self-absorbed queen, regardless.

OK, I surrender. I'm a newbie, and when you say I haven't been here long enough, I have no counter.

Perhaps in time I will have the veteran status I lack. I still think he's a big queen, but you trump me, so I must withdraw from the dispute.

How long are you going to persist in your belief that you are the lowly discriminated against, poor, minority. This election will finally show that liberals are and have been for some time the dominate, majority, fat cats.

You....." the more equals" who have become the best funded and publicized special interest group. I'm a Democrat and I am embarrassed that MPR and and the newspapers has been running non-stop Obama and No on Prop 8 programs at "public" expense.

    Lol, my thoughts exactly.
I will be disappointed if things don't go my way but no political party is going to have the power to serve me my ass in the morning.
This thread reminds me of how FUCKING HAPPY I will be when this shit is over and all this stops.

I voted first thing this morning.. and now I can talk about whatever the fuck I want to.. thank you very much.

    Speaking of queeny drama.....

Tim's got a valid, if blunt, point. There's not really much more persuading, campaigning or anything to be done at this point. All it is is casting votes. If you've voted, whichever way, you've done your part. All that's left is to see how it all stacks up.
