    Dear RJ -

Could you please put on the "to do list" the implementation of a better messaging board system? I realize that you want to tie in our messages to our profile, but the current system is not very adequate for a messaging board system. It lacks most of the functionality that you can pick up from most of the board standards, phpBB for example.

Specifically, it'd be nice to be able to quote previous posts and go back and edit posts we've made. It'd also be nice to be able to accept BBCode or HTML tags. Oh, and smilies. Gotta have our smilies.

Thanks for your input. Quoting and editing other posts is on our to do lists.

FYI, our forums do currently accept HTML code. Browse around the forums and you'll see a lot of it.

    Dear RJ / Jeff,

Could you please add a basic guide to HTML coding in terms of how it pertains to RJ's message and forum system? An overview of basic formatting, such as font formatting, hypertexting, and picture embedding, would be appreciated.

Suggestions on services RJ members can use for picture uploading would also be appreciated.

    Best regards,
    Nick

Those are great ideas Nick. Yep, we'll add them (everyone, please be patient -- our staff is small).

We'll also try to add smilies (shudder). :-)

    Hi Jeff

It would be great if you could stretch the budget to buy vBulletin - I think its the best forum software around. Would you be able to integrate it into the software you use on other parts of the site?

Wow, there was a time when you couldn't quote other posts, edit your posts, add smilies, or use HTML? icon_eek.gif RJ has come a long way. icon_rolleyes.gif And was this the same "Jeff" we have now?

    Bump for awareness.
