A lot of RJ guys here have the amazing physiques which rival the male models in the industry.

    Questions:
    1. Have you ever modeled for clothes, underwear?
    2. If not, would you say yes if approached to be an underwear model?
    3. If not, have you in the past or present day, at one time or more, wished/desired to be an underwear model?

As a side note, have you ever dated an underwear model? Did the perks outweigh the cons?

i've done it. not a biggie. i'd do it again. i've dated a couple guys with that stature, and with them there were more cons than perks.

yes, LOTS of cons... but that's been my experience. someone else will say something completely different.

here are the problems i ran into:

    1) ego
    2) ego
    3) ego
    4) didn't recycle (i quote: "I don't give a shit about the earth.")
    5) ego
    6) selfish, boring, and completely incapable in the bed
    7) mean
    8 ) ego
    9) too much competition - i should not have to work that hard to keep your attention
    10) ego

"dated" a couple male models, not good. Dancerjack summed it up: EGO.

Also, most were just "do-me" queens because they thought they were so great that "you" had to do all the work. Fun once, not for long-term.

and in my experience, most are pretty stupid.

I modeled in a shoot i did for a school project, along with some friends of mine who, fortunately, looked hot just wearing their calvins. and they dont have ego trips, otherwise i wouldve kicked their asses! I will add some of the pics in my profile soon...icon_cool.gif

Umm... I think that's Part of the definition of a model? icon_wink.gif

Do you think many male models have self-esteem issues?

i've modeled for N2N underwear a few times. as far as dating models, i wouldn't say that the ones i dated had horrible egos. i'd would say that they were in need of constant validation...pretty exhausting. on the other hand, they thought that all they had to offer was their body and looks, so they were INCREDIBLY HOT in the sack. Thankfully, not at all the experience that dancerjack or growingmusc had.

I mean really, anytime that Dancerjack has to do anything more than smile to get someone's attention is a sad, sad day indeed.

Many model do have self-esteem issue, that's why they need constant validation as someone else said on the thread.

But not all models are like this. I've meet some great models on the inside as well as the outside.

Haven't dated any underwear models that I know of.

But I would like to say that I am perfectly capable of delivering constant validation. If you are gorgeous and like hearing someone tell you - I can help you with that. icon_wink.gif

i agree that constant validation can be pretty exhausting.

to start with...they are eye candy. satisfies the visual and voyeuristic needs of others. content-wise, some may be lacking.

given the chance, i'd probably date one to satisy my fetish but to stay with one..that maybe harder.

Nope. And if I was approached, I would laugh because it would be a set up to try to get in my pants. I'm too short for anything but small market commercial modeling, and even that would be a stretch.

I was asked to model for a company once. I forgot to call them back.

Thanks for thinking of me as a model. icon_biggrin.gif

When I was just out of high school, I modeled underwear and other clothes for an NYC Department store.

A few times I had sexual encounters with models, actors or dancers.
Although they were all "hot" body-wise, the egos, self esteem and general crazy issues made all of them NOT dating material.

There was a dancer (who also did underwear modeling for a European company) I met on a shoot.... our eyes met on set, we barely talked and I would go to his apt and simply F ------- icon_smile.gif
We carried on that very steamy sex for about 6 months until he got a gig in Europe then we lost touch. (sigh) nice memories. icon_smile.gif

I would do it in a second if I had the body for it. I've been in several fashion shows but I don't think that I have the muscle size for underwear modeling.

uhmm I tried underwear modeling before when I was in Montreal... then I moved to Toronto and recently I applied to a job to model sport-jockstrap and I passed the interview.

I dont really think is a big deal, you just go for a photo shooting like once or twice a month for about 2-3 hours and it pays well. I rather to be as conservative as I could with those, so im just modeling sport-jockstrap(it cant get any worst).

I think it shouldnt affect anything in a relationship, I dont really take that job seriously, I just think it pays off icon_neutral.gif

this is exactly how I'd define the model I met .. and even add more ...
He was looking at himself whenever he passes a mirror or shop windows or car windows , and arrange his hair .. really !! it sounds like some shallow cartoon character but it's true ..

I've done an underwear runway show once. i have hooked up with some models (part-time or full-time) and i've had both amazing sex and below expectations sex...some could carry a conversation, others were plain stupid...but that happens with non-models to..
    dunno...

I kid because I love, and Caslon was too easy of a target.
