With the former Bush states of Ohio, N. Mexico and Iowa and all the Kerry states, Obama was elected President of the US. He also was declared the winner in Virgina, Colorado and Florida... also remarkably competitive in N. Carolina and Indiana.

What an exciting evening and a great country!

Are you sure? You mean NOTHING can happen otherwise now? Really truly? Abolutely absoloodle? We can relax? Honestly? Please let this be so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apologies, but the US voting system seems so complicated to us confused Canadians! We keep expecting Joe the Plumber to stumble across the screen with big bags over his shoulder saying,
    "Ya forgot these."

How come there's no black people at the McCain rally? Oh well, he's given a great concession speech. I can't wait to hear Elizabitch Assoncrack say President Elect Barack Obama on The View.

McCain gave an A Class speech. I feel as Americans we should support our president, but I feel we are in for something bad. I am called the eternal optomist, but on something this serious I can't be happy at this time. Our country is no longer safe.icon_sad.gif

Homeland security. We are in the hands of the most unexperienced president in history. Biden is no help either. If you trust him your about as brilliant as a small appliance bulbicon_exclaim.gif

I hope you guys let Mike's comments go. Enjoy the victory, savor your part in history, and let those who cannot understand our joy have a moment of reflection for themselves.

Let us look forward to the positive and leave others to their negative thoughts. We had those same thoughts in 2000 and 2004, we were right about the dangers of Bush, it's their turn now to sit and wait to see what history says about this presidency.
