    I think so.
Palin was a horrendous choice and McCain was McNasty in the debates.

    What do you think?

He may not have won, the worstening economy certainly drew attention from the usual terrorism-scare-mongering that the Republicans usually use as the main theme of their campaigning. A theme where McCain, as a war 'hero' had an advantage.

Personally I think that it was a great decision by the Democrats to put a black guy up for election this time around.

It was important to get over the voter apathy of the last few elections and get people who didn't normally vote (young people, black people, minorities) out to the polling stations.

Proving you, the voter, can make a difference - and you did.

Obama is an intelligent man and just the sort that is needed at this time of economic crisis.

    Well done America.

I don't know. From the moment the economy tanked, I knew Obama would become president.

It would have been very, very close.

Here is an article from today's "Globe and Mail" that a fascinating but sobering appraisal of the impact a US President really has in a world that has radically changed.
