Religion and God , Why dont you believe in it???

  • Jul 02, 2013 6:20 PM GMT

So I have seen allot of people on here do not believe in GOD or Religion.

My question is to y is it that you don’t?
    A) Seeing believes right.
    b) Coz you gay and religion does not allow it?

I do believe in God and religion , and it's came to my mind many times so then why does he forbid his creation to be sexually attracted to the same sex?

People have made is so CLEAR of how it's forbidden that is y most of you have turned away from God, coz he does not accept this.

And because you can’t answer those questions without proof that why you have turned away.

What are your thoughts? Leme know why you don’t believe in GOD, coz I’m sure the above is the answer.

Short answer: I do believe in God, but I don't believe in a God who writes books. All works of literature that are considered scripture by various religious groups were, I would say, written by people. I do believe that creativity, and the desire to find meaning in our existence, and the desire to connect with others, comes from God. (Can't prove that -- that's a matter of faith...).

But, as for the writings themselves, Torah, Talmud, New Testament, Vedas, Koran, etc.... I think that they were written by people -- people bound by the ideas of their time and place. They got some things right and some things wrong.

The fact that something's in the Bible (or any scripture) tells us something about the people who wrote it but doesn't necessarily tell us anything about God.

It is for us in our lives to try to discern the holiness in all of existence and in our interactions with one another. Our religious traditions do, and ought to, evolve, just as our understanding of the universe around us evolves.

goodlooking21, think for a little about how much hurt and warping of innocence, condemnation and persecution gays have had to endure at the hands of some religions while trying to grow up and come to terms with love and life.
I can not fault them for not believing.

I believe in God and Christ, I just think his followers are wackos who are twisting the original Bible to suit their own beliefs. There is nothing in the NT that condems homosexuality, but I am sure every modern day Christian will argue otherwise and quote mistranslated versions of the Bible to prove it.

There is no evidence for God, so I don't believe. The same way I don't believe in Zeus or Santa Claus.
