There seems to be not only a heat wave going on in the Western United States, but also a "Troll Wave" here on RJ.

    I <3 trolls, not assholes.

    Huge difference.
Trolls are meant to be funny sarcastic, assholes just make everything so awkward.

    I don't mind trolls. =]

But this heat wave is awesome!

Is it really worse than normal? I just figured this comes with being an internet site. Some regular trolls are either gone or fell silent.

The trolls seem to come in waves, then they return to their "fromunder" places for a while.

Also, it's been fucking cold as shit here in The City/Inner Richmond this morning and then again this afternoon. Amazing fog. (Caused by the heat wave in the East Bay.)

How do you know if someone on here is a troll?

Although every troll is unique, here are some of the "smells" to which I am sensitive:

First and foremost, you can tell them by their posts. There are lots of "openings", "middle games", and "lol endgame" patterns, over time you can tell by the smell. In the end, troll threads end up as shit storms, flame wars, and other icon_rolleyes.gif .

Second, usually relatively new, unverified accounts but there are some trolls who have been deeply embedded and hanging around far too long. Again, you will know them by their posts.

Third, fast run up of post counts.

Depending upon the breed, I "Block and Ignore" and thus they become dead/irrelevant to me, I "countertroll", or I just don't read any thread which they create.

Troll seasons are in the winter and summer. Coincidentally, those are also the times when kids are out of school. When fall comes, this place will be a ghost town. icon_lol.gif

I actually got a bit of a sunburn the other day...here in San Francisco of all places. That's what I get for going shirtless.

I've only been to San Fran once, it was really nice.
2 days out of the week it was really sunny and beautiful.

The rest of the days the Golden Gate Bridge, and Twin Peaks were wiped out with fog. xD
