When I use to go to Mac Donald's and Carl's Jr (before my newfound vegetarianism) I would always make sure that any of the burgers I would order had no mayo and always an extra helping of ketchup in all of them if that particular had it or not.

I haven't been to In N Out in a long time (because there's not one in town), but I always get the same thing:

A cheeseburger with grilled onions cut in half, animal style fries and a strawberry shake. My friends always gives me crap for having them cut my burger in half. icon_lol.gif

What's wrong with having it cut in half?

I used to get the BK fish with mushrooms and onions on and swiss cheese back when they used to have a burger that had the same toppings.

If I go to a Five Guys I get a bacon cheeseburger with extra cheese, raw onions and grilled onions and BBQ sauce and mayonnaise with a light coating of lettuce.

There's nothing wrong with having it cut in half.
Especially at In and Out. That's a sloppy burger to start with!
    YUM!

I know, right? It's so much easier to eat it like that too.

It's funny because BK New Zealand has just brought out that new fish one. Apparently it's a huge hit!

oh hell, this was such a red flag when first dating--setting at the drive thru waiting while he checked to make sure they didn't put Ketchup on his burger, extra pickle, no onion, two slices of cheese; then get upset because they got it wrong, witch they always got it wrong.
Crazy now; how I order for him and make sure it's how he likes it--love the reaction from the wait staff.

Yes Mrs. Crawford... We'll make it just the way you like it!

LOL!!!!!!!! This is Sooo what it feels like to be out with a picky eater!
    Can I get a witness??????

My biggest gripe is ordering meat. I like it well done.

I don't need an attitude from the waiter/waitress and when I go somewhere I've never been before, it always comes to me under-cooked.

You were quite sweet when I asked you to cut my burger for me.

You did not have it chew it for me though.

I ask for my burger to be cut in half to make it easier to manage with my one good hand.

Eating a big burger without wearing it is an unexpectedly two-handed endeavour.icon_lol.gif

My burgers used to have too be well done, extra pickle and onion and no mayo, or special sauce, and lettuce, catsup and mustard on the side ... I rarely eat a burger any more, or eat out. I used to wait tables, for years, and I know how gross some places can be.

My s.o. and I are out for dinner, lunch, coffee pretty much all the time. We are totally cool to waiters, waitresses, baristas, and others. We treat them beautifully and guess what we get in return? Awesome service. Come on guys, people in service work very hard and are on their feet with all kinds of stress. Do what you can to make their day or night easier and show your appreciation and respect. You'll be repaid in kind.

I will ask for things like hold the onions or sauce, but if they forget, I rarely send anything back. I just pick the onions off or scrape the sauce off. I might not like it as well, but I will get over it. It would have to be really fucked up order for me to say something.

@ Tony - if I am out at some fancier restaurant, I definitely order with the knowledge that I will accept what I receive. That's part of the adventure of eating out.

I know. This is the only thing in Canada I ate that I didn't like. I had a hard time getting it down my throat.
