Today 16 miles roundtrip via the Iron Horse Trail from Dublin, CA to San Ramon, CA ...man the weather was hot at least in the 90's.

Haven't ridden all week because of the holiday this week, but here was my last ride. It was a 4 hour mtb race. Need to get back on the bike soon. Will riding later on today when it cools down into the lower 90s.

EDIT: I take that back, I did a couple of social rides, but nothing too serious. Just a few miles with some buds.

Just got back from a good 50 mile. From Mike's Bike's we did Paradise Loop adding Belvedere and the headlands. It's been very windy and cool here lately- 52 this morning starting out. Looking forward to Vineman next weekend and Marin Century in early August.

There's also mapmyride.com; I'm wondering how they compare. I just use the garmin free site for my runs.

Did a 48 mile ride on the Fourth and other plans have kept me off the bike this weekend...next log entries will come from France!

That ride is called the Scripps Ranch Old Pros. Bicycling.com had it on their list of their favorite Fourth of July rides and look who was front and center (in red, white, and blue Kraftwerk TdF jersey) in the photo they chose for the event from last year's roll-out:

Awesome guys keep the good workouts. Not sure about the premium membership on Strava will just use the freebie.

Yesterday, went out to see new prices for Trek Madone, one of the shop bikes stores I visited was also advising to check out the new Domane.

Too rainy to ride last week, and visiting my nephew this week. Hopefully next week will allow for more riding.

BTW, Strava is awesome for tracking rides.

I did 22 km and 3,500 of climbing on an alpine warmup ride today from Le Grave to Le Chazalet to Col du Lautaret. I do Galibier and Telegraphe tomorrow. Supposed to get rained on Alpe d'Huez on Thursday. Hope the weather holds!

Forty miles today, 6,266 feet of climbing in that short distance.

I made the Col du Galibier my bitch today and did two passes. The "easy" pass started at my hotel with an immediate 8K climb. The ascent on the way back was 18K of constant uphill with gradients of 10%. Oh, and it was cold and raining. I skipped the hard pass up Col du Telegraphe to save my legs for the second pass of Galibier and for Alpe d'Huez tomorrow.

My sea-level lungs do not like this 8,000 foot elevation business.

45 miles today...from my hotel up Alpe d'Huez! About 4,000 feet of elevation gain. It started raining on me as I started the descent, so that made dodging in and out of cars still trying to get off the mountain and whip-skidding around people nervously braking in front of me fun.

Okay, just one last jealousy-inducing update. Short ride today, only about 10 miles, but it was through the streets of Paris, dodging cars in traffic, and then a single lap along the Champs-Elysees before the Tour came through.

63 miles this morning, rediscovering flat roads after my week in the Alps. The first 20 was spent training some people on group riding skills, then I took off for some extra miles before heading home.

103 miles today just over 5 hours-avg speed 20.8 mph with 7900 ft of climbing over gorgeous countryside. Marin Century rocked!...They did a great job with everything especially the food at the end.

    Great job.

Total of 70 miles yesterday, but that was 45 with my group and then 25 for the Midnight Madness ride (no, not Critical Mass, it's an annual fun ride in San Diego--I rode to and from the start).
