    I was thinking today, that I have no idea where to go to meet gay guys. I'm not talking about meeting for a hookup but more just to make some gay friends, guys to hang out with, do stuff with, sports, movies, etc.

    Wondered where other guys met guys.

    Men's knitting groups.

    Various graphic design events (the number of gay male graphic designers is surprisingly high. I'd say 1 out of 4 male graphic designers are gay).

    Coffeehouses.

    Bookstores.

    Google "gay hangouts" or "gay social groups" or something like that for your city. I did that for mine and found a list. A lot of them were bars or clubs (not to mention one bathhouse...) but there were also more normal places like certain coffee-houses and restaurants on the list. A lot of cities also have gay cycling and running groups too. I've decided to try to make a habit of going to one of those coffee places (ironic, since I don't actually drink coffee), although have yet to really start doing that.

    PS not only is this clever, but there's also a topic on REALJOCK about a guy getting hit on at Home Depot. Too funny! We were there to get some paint. Story of our lives, wrong aisle! icon_cry.gif

    Canada, I feel sorry because you asked a good question and as usual a lot of stupid people answered with no help to you..The best one was the running group and clubs in your town to start with.. There are also some bars that have alternate nights for guys and try that..Other than that try Craigslist and Match.com and try on here but many guys on here just want to be on here and not meet live people and that is also a sin...

    Some of these places I had success in the past.

    * Gay Bars/Clubs (still had 1 good friend since 2005.)
    * Gay Beaches
    * The LGBT Center
    * Supermarkets
    * Online (My ex and I are still friends)
    * Knowing gay guys through an Ex
    * Gay Outdoor groups (Which I don't do much anymore)
    * Gay events like bonfires, field trips
