spiderlini saidHAVE TO VENT REAL QUICK ABOUT THIS COMMERCIAL. hope no offense is taking by this but just a quick thought.
i remember a decade ago when society wasn't promoting men to be sex objects or to not be so conscious with looking attractive. guys simply just had to worry about making it or surviving. flash to 10 years later, this whole image conscious, beauty culture is becoming an epidemic and is having a rather negative impact on society. you have males running around with body dysmorphic disorder, running to get more cosmetic surgery, and having eating disorders. with that said, i can't blame the younger folks for being so damn self conscious about their looks, being overly worried about "aesthetics", superficial, and vain when the tv and society constantly promotes this whole "your entire worth is based off of how attractive you look, if you can be a model or land a contract, if you have a six pack, if you're skinny and etc. if people don't say that you're cute or acknowledge your looks, you are NOTHING even if you find the cure to aids." it's ridiculous. i find it annoying how every commercial on tv advertising something as simple as a baby pacifier or motor oil becomes a platform to showcase some male model or female model trying to get pussies wet and dicks hard. what's up with that?
once upon a time, we called guys that were WAY too obsessed with their appearance to be "meterosexuals". even though it was associated with a homophobic idea, it also showed a toxic mindset of how someone became way too self conscious about something that wasn't important. guys who were way too self conscious with looking attractive or capturing people's attention were labeled that and now it's normalized where guys think it's okay to degrade themselves into a piece of meat. i just had to vent that real quick because shit annoys me so much that i don't even bother anymore sometimes.
