I'm down 61 pounds from this time last year. I started with my diet. I cut refined sugar completely, and drastically reduced carbs. Ate only lean meats, leafy greens, beans, eggs, etc. CLEAN eating.
After losing 45 pounds, I hired a trainer/nutritionist. THAT made all the difference in the world! He was blunt. Despite all my efforts, I needed another year to get into shape. That was March.
I decided that if I had to pay him for that length of time, I better follow his every word, and did exactly what he told me to do and eat. Still do! It's been life altering, and I can't wait until I can post photos of me as a RJ. I'm so very close!
And for filling in that caboose, squats of every type and form. The best (and most difficult for me) is single leg squats and/or weighted squats. You have to work your gluts to the point of failure a minimum of three times a week or you'll NEVER fill in the briefs. If your ass isn't burning morning, noon, and night, every single day, you aren't working it enough to build it. Period.
Now go eat some lefy greens with white beans, tomatoes and avocados. Find the best wild caught salmon or cod you can afford. Eat eggs, Greek yogurt, and organic fruits and veggies. Get to the gym no less than 6 days a week. Then ride your bike, run, play basket ball, whatever. Just spend the majority of your hours awake active and moving.
And get more sleep.
