I am obsessed with the hippy movement and want to become one, without the smell and dirty clothing of course.

Any neo hippies in the crowd?

Sure! I'm one. The most important thing is to be an anti war pacifist. Gotta love the acid too.... Well, I guess the acid is optional, but it's definitely going to open up your consciousness and give you far out visions, man.icon_cool.gif

you're not a hippy, you are just an attention seeking fuzzy queen icon_wink.gif

Ugh. I have curly frizzy hair when it gets long. Remembering my long hair from back then is no fun.

Smoking pot and listening to music was fun; I miss that. LSD was interesting. My first love, unrequited, was during that period. That was before I realized I was gay. I don't really have many positive memories from that period; smoking pot made my mind fuzzy and dull.

I just barely remember the hippies.
I wish we could do something like that or the roaring twenties again.
People have been obsessed with being badass for too long now.
    Let's be buffoons again.

(It was the hippie movement and "free love" that lead to gay rights, you know.)

Without smell and dirty clothes you can't be a hippie. Trust me, that was my generation, my entire teen years spent in the 1960s, turning 20 in 1969. To be an original hippie a guy would have to be in his 60s or late 50s like me.

Some of my friends became hippies, actually got the flower-power VW microbus and rode off to California, never heard from them again. Why the HELL would you want to become a hippie loser?
