What are some ideas for a fun third date?

Do you think cooking a nice dinner at home is too much?

Hmmm. Well, I've done that in the past and usually you end up having sex before dinner.

Depends. Do you want to see this guy again? What are you thinking of cooking? Keep it simple and low-key.

Save your speciality, the penis-shaped cake for the fourth date.

Hmm... it all depends on what you've done in the first two dates and what you're into. You could go down to an arcade to play some games together, go walk a park or lake to just talk and carrouse etc, movies are always good. Dinner is always a good idea, but it's very true that sex does tend to happen, especially when alcohol is added. Let us know how it goes! icon_biggrin.gif

It depends...how close have you become? If he's been to your house for more than 10 minutes, it's probably OK.

I like a park event - like a public concert or gathering of sorts. Anything involving nature will enduce a sense of comfort and care. It helps with the actual relationship building.

It really wont matter what you do, just how you treat each other.

Isn't the third date supposed to be THE date? .....If you where straight of course.

This is true for the straighties, however we're gay. So THE date should have happened after exploring each other's mouths with our tongues. icon_razz.gif

Third dates are usually deal clinchers ...
they usually signify that you're thinking of some kind of relationship potential
whether that's sexual only or emotional too depends

I think a quiet dinner together is in order
whether that's at home or out doesn't really matter

A quiet dinner is always nice.

Make something easy and simple that tastes good... Pasta is usually a safe bet icon_smile.gif

I don't think its too much! I mean really it all depends on the pace of things, your own personal style as far as dating goes..... if you feel like its in order then just go for it. If I really liked a guy, I would go to his place for a third date. It does sort of seem like sexual stuff is bound to happen though..... so be aware that he may think those are your intentions?

It doesnt mean you have to have sex with him (contrary to popular opinion).... lol. But dinner and a movie at home usually equates to at least some physical action afterwards! Fun.

    Best of luck....

A walk through a beautiful (or reasonably clean) outdoor area, where you can talk and talk and talk, and maybe even get "lost," but find your way again.

Go out on a Saturday and do something that gets you dirty. (Playing basketball or taking a hard bike ride come to mind, although I've found city guys often enjoy doing farm work or splitting fire wood for a day.)
The point is: then you have to go back to the house and clean up... cook dinner half dressed... or not.

I am hoping this thread catches on again. I am at the third date but in the first week, lol. Things are going very well so far and I like hearing what other people do for dates. This is my first round of dating, and I have been very open about that. It has been very amusing thus far. Lots of smooching which is nice, lol. Keep posting all you RJs! Thanks : )

Bum deal, I had hoped to see some updates to this.

My plan is to go hide some wine in the park nearby, go fro a stroll and catch a buzz. Then go for a light dinner and chill at a little tea house a like and call it a night. I hope that goes over well.
