The Future for Gays

People used to say there wouldn't be any gays in the future because now that we realize its genetic and few straight couples want gay children, technology would screen out unwanted traits even before conception.
But now, especially with gay marriage, technology will soon find a way to mix two men's or two women's DNA. Would gay parents want gay children?
Will the future bring more or less homosexuality?
(It's no argument but all the sci fi books I've read about the future show increased and accepted homosexuality.)

Someone asked a similar question regarding mixing two same sex parents DNA.

No. I personally would not want a child that way. However there are plenty who would.

I also think it shouldn't be up to the parent to decide what sexuality their child has. Inevitably though, if the technology existed, many parents would do just that.

when and if that happens...i dont think gay parents would openly choose to have gay kids. Think about it...if hetro couples are already screening the gay gene out, that means there would be virtually no more gays being born, meaning that any couple that chooses to have a gay child would be condemning their child to a life of romantic isolation.

So if this were to happen the future would bring less homosexuality. last of a dying breed, unless it was integrated as some measure of population control... now that would be messed, i got your next sci-fi novel right there.
