Last night we protested Los Angeles, bringing West Hollywood and Hollywood traffic to a complete halt. THE FIGHT CONTINUES TODAY!!!

Santa Monica and Overland at 2pm in front of the Mormon Temple.

I will be putting all of the videos and photos up as soon as humanly possible. There is so much energy involved in this right now. http://imdavevalk.blogspot.com

If you have ever needed a reason to be EXCITED or wanted to know why YOU should STAND UP and FIGHT THIS FIGHT... Well here it is...

I'd say lose the unreadable font and the auto-play music. It's communication of a movement, not a talent show. Keep it simple and easy for as many people to absorb as possible.

Otherwise, THANK YOU for doing this.

I'm not so sure that becoming a public nuisance and taking the low road is the right approach when trying to ingratiate yourselves with the general public. Could just make a bad situation worse. If all the public sees on the news is a bunch of queens stopping traffic and creating havoc, it could have the opposite effect that you're hoping for.

    Just my 2 cents

I understand the opprobrium, but what does protesting honestly do in this day and age?

    This isn't the 1960s...

I agree with CuriousJock in that we need to be careful in not taking this too far. I saw a thread earlier that singled out the Mormon church as the reason for our problems. I don't think fighting for our rights with a hateful/negative tone will do us much good.

On the other hand, we do need to make our voices heard. People can't take away our rights and expect us to be silent. If we just sit quitely by the sidelines, no one will pay attention to us. There are times when more drastic measures need to be used. After all, blacks had to do more than just ask nicely to get fair treatment.

What does taking this quietly accomplish?
