    Hi RJ,

Since I've slimmed down a ton in the past year, I've been thinking about getting some sort of wristband or bracelet. I really like the look as long as the guy is wearing only one or two - when I see guys wearing one at the gym (or anywhere for that matter), I just find it incredibly sexy. I think this is because it gives a guy a certain calm/suave/chill/laid back aura about him which I find attractive.

My problem is that I don't really know all the types and where to buy them. The only ones I don't like are the easiest ones to get - the "live strong" bracelets and the various other colors of them. I tend to be out of tune with the fashion world. So I thought I'd ask out of interest:

What type of bracelets/wristbands do you wear/like? Do y'all find them as attractive as I do? Where did you find yours?

I don't wear them but if I did I'd go with a handcuff bracelet. Badass.

Bracelets aren't merely for appearances, but can serve other purposes, as well. A number of our friends wear them with a message. Some are commemorative, some for causes. And as such can be conversation pieces when you're getting to know some guy.

I wear a medic-alert bracelet 24/7, with my important info engraved on the underside. But I was doing that even before I had a medical reason, for motorcycling, kayaking, hiking, camping, bicycling, and all the outdoor things I do, an ID habit from my Army dog tag days. You'll always see my bracelet on the right wrist in all my pics, and I have several, for dress and everyday wear.

So when you're choosing a wristband or bracelet to wear, think beyond simple jewelry decoration, and consider an additional functional purpose. It gives you a reason to be wearing it routinely, like a wristwatch, and makes it less a self-conscious fashion statement than a simple adornment would be.

Get the silly bands or whatever they're called. But get the ones that are penis shaped. icon_lol.gif

I bought this to celebrate my coming out, and have been wearing it on my right wrist(I wear a watch on the left) pretty much continuously.

Eons ago, I used to go for stuff like a shell and/or a few beads strung on a hand woven cord or leather string. Surfer-bling I guess. Liked the way it looked on other guys. Couldn't ever really get much in to wearing and keeping track of that sort of thing myself though.

I guess my theory is that stuff like that draws attention to the body part that it's worn on. Never really had anything worth drawing attention to icon_rolleyes.gif

    How about a plain chain?

I used to have an ankle band that was just a plain ball chain.

I have a black No H8 bracelet. I think helps meeting like minded guys as most straight people do not know anything about the No H8 campaign.

Bracelets over the age of 17 is pretty much unacceptable.
That being said I had about a thousand gypsy-like woven bracelets in high school, and anklets and beads and hemp and burned out glowsticks, etc. It was cool then, I don't know if I would now.
