Really? No's no need to comment? Clearly you have a bias.

America is far more democratic than many other countries.

How about you define democracy? And no don't give me some bullshit wikipedia link.

What does democracy mean to you?

I do think people that say "No" need to comment.

well, this is part of the problem. Is your reaction because I could hold a belief that you don't and does the fact that I don't disclose that belief the issue that upsets you? Why can't you just believe what you do without personally attacking someone else? Perhaps you thought I was setting you up to be attacked, so out of fear, you attacked me first? You tell me!!!

My reality is that I have no need to hear why people would support "no", because it doesn't matter!!! I'm just open to supporting a "yes" that is logically sound!

    Yes.

Our democracy has been hijacked by lobbyists, but their is no other word to describe it. We still elect people to represent us. They just don't do it.

Yes this country is a republic
That has been founded on democratic principles
    namely a representative democracy

... but what I think the poster is trying to say
are we no longer a representative democracy....

In either case we see glimpses of it but no we are not representative ..... just look at what republicans have been doing over the last few years
    Filibuster abuse ......
    Voter disenfranchisement .....
    Supreme Court ...... judicial Activism

Wars we didn't need to fight and were lied into

so no we are not a democracy and we are not representative either
