Ms. Napolitano was governor of Arizona when I lived there, and she left under a cloud of negativity over the budget. There were disagreements between a number of people and Napolitano, where the other people were accused by Ms. N. of falsifying the numbers. Turns out Ms. N. was incorrect. Still, she sailed into her new career with Mr. Obama - - the mess she left behind in Arizona be damned, and others who came after her had to clean it up. Now, after a lackluster performance in her present job, away she goes again to her next opportunity. An example of someone getting her breaks because of her sex or sexuality, and not so much on merit and performance, I'm thinking.
Additionally, I sat in a number of meetings where Ms. N. was the guest speaker. I can tell you she was not going to answer any question she didn't want to answer. She would just refuse, rudely sometimes, and depart early - claiming she had "another engagement". Dodgeball, we called it.
