I want to move to Europe, and I wonder other than the obvious culture differences.... Are ( gay) Americans and Europeans similar or vastly different?

Any input would be appreciated .... icon_cool.gif

Meh. Not much from what I can tell.

A better question would be what is the difference between straight American and European males...

Sort of hard to compare, unless you get specific. I mean, "Europe" consists of multiple countries; Each with their own culture and sub-culture.

True. As a French I have as many differences with a Swedish as I have with an American. And maybe even more.

The differences would be the same if you were comparing a straight american and straight European i reckon.....the cultural differences would be too do with the country they were brought up in as opposed to sexual orientation

Stereotypes = Europeans are more stylish and possibly more liberal

BUT hey we all hate stereotypes

OGsockpuppet saideuropean gays seem to be more open minded compared to american gays which are one dimensional where they seem to not be ready to open their line of vision until they get older.

Thanks... Do you mind explaining further please...

It may vary from country to country. But I would say they are not much hung up on your race. Yeah it's just my experience not absolute truth.

One of the biggest differences I've come across is that (maybe its just me) but we're not as obsessed about race...

But I plan to move over to the US/Canada when I'm older so whatever haha

Are you comparing ALL the individuals of a continent to ALL the individuals of one nation and deducing that the ways and actions of one person, community, state that you've come across in your life time, or contained within a limited study, represnt 100% of the population? If so,then FAIL.

And I've noticed a lot of these deductions are just opinions warped by people's own experiences.

I hate being asked that! I also hate being asked where I went to school, or what kind of music I listen to.... I just don't like being interrogated.
