I guess _____ was too old-Plus the white house lawn isn't large enough to contain his/her shit!

America should be more concerned about our economy and national security. The very next day after the election the market hit record lows.

Like Bill, he just might get caught up in his celebrity and miss the next 911. Billy got a Blewinsky and my cousin got blown up!!!!

MikemikeMike, you are not only the sorest loser I have ever met, but you are also the first person I have ever met who thinks that the rest of the country is so elated that we deliberately went stupid. Just because you do doesn't mean it's true.

    Mikemikemike-

I noticed your political comments about Obama and the democrats prior to the election. Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinions and while I was tempted to comment at times, there were others who jumped in.

I find your comments unfortunate. Had McCain won, I wouldn't have liked it, but I'd prefer to focus on the positive rather than continue to hash around negative comments about points here that really aren't relevant. In
this "mess" that Obama inherits, we have one simple, basic thing that everyone relates to.. the addition of a puppy to the family. I find nothing wrong with a discussion of something other than just "inherited problems".

If you can't be reasonable, then say nothing at all.

The Obamas should adopt from a shelter or a rescue organization.

Hey everyone. Let's leave mikecubed alone. Afterall, we should be hero-worshipping him for serving in the USMC in Beirut when he was 13 years old.

I agree. My black lab, Guinness, was originally adopted from a no-kill rescue shelter. He was badly beaten as a puppy. sad...icon_sad.gif

But he is spoiled rotten now. So funny and lovable.

God this is tiresome. So wonder outsiders think the US is going to hell in a handbasket. Sniping left, right and centre. It reminds of my parents marriage.

So what if Obama is getting a dog? He is not yet President so he can only do so much on the economy anyways.

As for Bill Clinton being asleep allowing 9/11, well that simply will not wash. He was actually very concerned about the threat of Osama Bin Laden. It was the Bush administration (specifically Condie Rice) who did not take it seriously enough. They were to busy getting paranoid about China (remember the P-3 Orion spy plane incident). That and the CIA and FBI not sharing information with each other.

the economy hasn't hit record lows this week. Get the facts straight.

True the markets fell, but other factors influencing that. Job reports came out, issues with the automakers, housing and retail sales all impacted the markets this week.

Man, things got rough on the forums leading up to the election. But now that it is over I am disgusted at the racist, xenophobic, crap I have seen here. Everyone should take a break from politics until their emotions are under control.

Dude. McCain lost. Get over it. Secondly, 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. Oh and it happened by the same people that Bush's dad brought to power. Just in case you didn't know that one.

I thought that McCain was very gracious in defeat on Tuesday night.

That speech he gave was terrific. Where were those writers during the campaign?

P.S. Would any father turn down his children's request for a puppy.

Where was the real John McCain in the campaign?

One thing that have I noticed coming through loud and clear from some republicans is the high-level of paranoia (there is no other word for it) over the election of Mr. Obama. Some honestly think that the economy will go into a deep recession, terrorists will attack, and the USA will eventually get destroyed as a nation. Apocalypse here we come.

I have always been puzzled by the psyche of some Americans. Paranoia coming from people that have not had an invastion from a foreign country in over 150 years (as opposed to lets say Russia), and two very serious terrorist attacks of which one was from a citizen. France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom have all experienced decades of on again, off again terrorist activities.

Hey guys feel free to abandon this mean spirited thread and go to the kinder gentler thread I had started PREVIOUSLY on this topic at:

    http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/331426/

By the way, I like the way that the Obama's seem to be staying "human" through this whole process. I personally like the way our President Elect takes time to go to his child's parent/teacher day before being briefed on the security of the country. I like how he took time to take his daughter trick or treating right in the middle of his campaign. Taking time to visit his Grandma.....Reminds us that if he can do it we can do it when it comes to making time for children, making time for family etc.
