Malala Donates Prize Money To Help Rebuild 65 Damaged Schools In Gaza
"Malala Yousafzai is putting her own accolades toward a global mission for change.
The recent Nobel Peace Prize winner -- who gained international prominence for surviving gunshot wounds to the face at the hands of the Taliban in 2012 -- announced on Wednesday that she is donating the $50,000 she was given for the World Children's Prize toward the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, the Associated Press reported. The organization is rebuilding schools that were damaged in the Israel-Hamas conflict this summer, according to the Daily Beast."
